1962 Bauwerk AG is founded as a structural and civil engineering company. Kurt Glur is one of the founders and is managing director until 1996. In 1990, Hans Wanzenried joins the company as a partner. In 1997 Kurt Glur hands over the operational management to Hans Wanzenried. In the following years, Hans Wanzenried has a significant influence on the development of the company. During his time, he significantly expands the company's presence in the regions of Obersimmental, Saanenland and Pays- d'Enhaut. A flourishing regional economy and a reliable workforce allow the growth of up to 100 employees.In order to better develop the market fields of the regions of neighboring Western Switzerland, Hans Wanzenried founds a branch in Château-d'Oex under the name "Ouvrage SA "In 2015, Hans Wanzenried hands over the operational management to his son Jonas Wanzenried.More than half a century of development and experience lead to the current form of the company. Thanks to constant further development, Bauwerk AG is today one of the leading construction companies in the regions of Saanenland, Obersimmetal and Pays-d'Enhaut. Bauwerk AG is a medium-sized company that is active in all areas of structural and civil engineering. Since the beginning, Bauwerk AG has trained apprentices in various areas of the company, enabling young professionals to enter the interesting world of work.
