Zimmermann Bauunternehmung AG / Zimmermann Fassaden AG (Bern)

The roots of Zimmermann Bauunternehmung AG go back to 1930, when Gottfried Zimmermann founded the construction business G. Zimmermann in Oberbottigen. Over the years, he found another business partner in Albrecht Thomi, after which the young construction company changed its name to Thomi & Zimmermann. In 1948 Erwin Zimmermann joins the company and in 1960 Thomi & Zimmermann is dissolved and becomes Zimmermann & Co. with headquarters at Oberbottigenweg 43 in 3019 Bern.

In 1974 the general partnership is converted into a joint stock company. After his apprenticeship and travelling years, Alfred Zimmermann joins the construction company in 1987 as the third generation. The federally certified master builder further developed the group of companies into a general contractor and successfully manages the company. At the end of 2014, André Fasnacht, a long-time employee and Federally Certified Master Builder, takes over as Managing Director. Alfred Zimmermann remains a member of the board of directors.
